Perfect for the winter vacationer
In Schoppernau there is a great skiing area (www.diedamskopf.at). The valley station Diedamskopfbahn is only 600 meters away from our house. 200 meters in front of our house is the ski bus stop (transfer – free of charge). The bus takes you to the valley station or to the neighbouring ski areas Salober-Hochtannberg (www.salober.com), Damüls (www.seilbahnendamuels.at) or Mellau (www.bergbahnenmellau.com).
In the village, right next to the valley station of the skiing area, there is a very good children’s ski school. Near our house there is a 30 km long cross-country ski run, which you can use for free. For non-skiers there are several kilometres of prepared hiking trails and various possibilities for tobogganing/sledging.
What to do in summer:
At our farm there are various playground equipment (a giant trampoline, various go-karts, etc.). In the village there is, organized by the tourist office, a special children’s program with many activities (children’s climbing, adventure day, walks with the forester, etc.). In Schoppernau and the surrounding area there are also some beautiful hiking trails, which can also be walked on with prams. The heated outdoor pool is only a few minutes’ walk away.
